We had a short streak of warm days culminating in a high of 80 degrees yesterday. This morning was humid — rain in the forecast for the next 3 days — and 68 degrees when I went out to tend to the animals. The fruit trees have responded to the increasing temperatures with a wealth of blossoms. One of our young pear trees has its first couple of blooms! I’m quite excited about the prospect of harvesting our own pears. Just hoping the near freezing evenings anticipated on Sunday and Monday don’t do them in.
